Hard Core Logo

I watched Hard Core Logo last night, and I can't get it out of my head. I've been thinking over it constantly. It was depressing, but the characters and the unanswered questions are fascinating. Everyone's intentions are so ambiguous, and every question just brings up more questions rather than answers. They're all clearly dysfunctional, but I can't decide how much deception and manipulation was going on. I think I need to see it again before I can decide anything. I haven't watched a movie that made me think this much in ages.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, Callum Keith Rennie, how are you so awesome?

I have not watched that movie since the last century (sounds odd, doesn't it?). Hmm, maybe I should dig it out of the VHS box and rewatch it...

I watched it for the first time last week. I found it fascinating in the way that I like the documentary style, but I think it was too depressing for me to watch again, except maybe in little clip-doses of CKR because OMG HE'S SO BEAUTIMOUS. *ahem*

And ya know, I spent most of the movie really annoyed at Joe, but by the end I kinda felt for him. And then he had to go and give me a nightmare. Another reason I probably won't watch it again. :|

But a good meta can always change my mind. *hint hint*

Oh, man, I wish I could watch HCL for the first time again! It's a movie that really wears well over time, though, at least for me. It's still fascinating and brilliant and depressing as hell. I'm glad you liked it. =)

OHHHH HCL!

that movie killed me *dead* many moons ago. JOE DICK = MASSIVE WOOBIE! who knew? the whole thing really IS fascinating. and it holds up on re-watching. i've seen it quite a few times, actually, and there's always new stuff to discover. OHHHH HCL.

the epic hotness of callum cannot actually be textually rendered.

this comment is not much with the deep thoughts. sorry.

Ok, watched it and I'm going to do a post about it, but wow.

JUST WOW!

So... you're going to make icons right?

You really are a Canuckaphile aren't you? , I have always thought that Canada has an unfair proportion of really good actors (and that's not because I live here). Although, why are these hot guys never around where I am?

I must have seen that movie twenty times now, and I still find new things to mull over each time! On my most recent viewing, I noticed what Joe was carrying under his arm (before putting it into his pocket) while talking to Billy as Bruce was secretly filming them.

And oh, Hugh. So achingly perfect as Joe. I mean, everyone in the film was beyond brilliant but Hugh was something else.

I keep wondering if Bruce will indeed go through with his plans to do a "Joe's not dead" companion piece. I know Hugh and Callum would be right there for him :)

I still haven't seen this movie! But I do know that not one, but up to four sequels (http://www.thestar.com/article/485431) are planned/in the works. So...yay?

Oh, HCL! That movie just killed me. So depressing and dark, and yet... I can't stop watching it once and again.
And it is a movie that deserves more than a single watching.
Ah, so, so wonderful!
