I've been an avid watcher of Stargate: SG-1 since it aired and while I'm not really dissapointed that it's coming to an end, I do hope that it doesn't just peter out, like some of the fandoms. It deserves to go out with a bang, or an explosion, or whatever.

It's had a good running in the last 10 years and we've had the ups and the downs and everything we could have possibly asked for. I don't think they left anything out that they could have put in, so I'm very happy with what we had.

Having said that, I hope, too, that what they do doesn't backlash to Atlantis. So far we've had the two run side by side very smoothly and I want that to continue. So the ending, while it could have (Read: should have) repercussions on Atlantis, it doesn't directly influence the show. For instance, moving some of the characters to Atlantis.

I don't think this would be fair on the characters of Atlantis, as they have had time to develope and grow as a team and in friendship. I can't see the integration of any of the SG1 characters happening well/at all.

If they get cut off from Earth, this would mean Atlantis is in effect, on it's own regarding supplies/ammunition whatever, and it leads to all sorts of considerations. What about the Deadalus? (sp?) Would they have to go back to Earth, or would they be able to stay with Atlantis long term? What about the food/weapons? Would they have to go back to trading with other worlds again?

OMG sorry, I should totally make this a post instead of posting it as a comment in your journal ^^;; My apologies, but you DO THESE THINGS TO ME >.<
