I currently have a couple of filters that I seldom use. I'm thinking about using them more regularly. Of course, it's likely that I'll never get around to this, but, assuming I do, what are you interested in seeing/reading?

[Poll #1057714]

In other news, I'm really really ANGRY!! I just turned on my laptop, and my battery seems to have died. It has "experienced a permanent failure and needs to be replaced". The little fucker is only three days out of its warranty! 3 fucking days! That is just... mean. I bet they design them to die just after the warranty ends. I'm still planning on calling and abusing them tomorrow. Bastards!

It's especially frustrating since I've been damaging my credit card in the last couple of days, and so buying a new one is the last thing I want to do... Yesterday I bought a new fragrance (which smells like happiness, sunshine and rainbows!), a new suit (which has the cutest skirt) and 3 dvds.

Today I had my car serviced (Goodbye $200), I bought 2 cds, and took my parents out for dinner. Plus, in the next few days I have to pay a water bill, telephone bill and credit card bill. *sigh* Maybe my laptop battery dying is just life's way of getting back at me for spending too much on unnecessary stuff.

OMG I hate that!

Fumbles McStupid had a complete breakdown just after the warranty ended and I had to send it in to get fixed. I kicked up so much fuss about it, though, that they didn't charge me. Kick up fuss! It makes things better :D

OMG All that money spent! I'm glad I don't have a credit card otherwise mine would be permanantly dented :/

Good news! They're going to replace the battery free of charge! The guy did point out that it was outside of the warranty, but luckly he was willing to replace it for me anyway!! Now I just have to make sure I'm home tomorrow when they pick up the old one and give me the new one.

I'm usually pretty good with my credit card, but I just needed some retail therapy! :)

Well dang that just sucks!

As for the purchases they sound like they are vital and essential to your life so don't feel too bad about them.

When dealing with the computer/battery people I've found that kicking up a fuss (but in a friendly manner) can get you very far. If being friendly fails then just a fuss should work.

Hope it works out!

Yeah, it does suck, but luckily they're willing to replace it free of charge for me!! I was very friendly and polite, and it didn't take much convincing for them to swap the broken one for a new one! Whoo who!!

And yes, the purchases were all wonderful things!!

Oh, how I hate warranty things. Stuff always always goes kaput when it's just a couple of days out of warranty. Never before, and if it still works after a month or two after the date it's out of warranty, it will last a lifetime.

Jeez, that battery problem has got to be frustrating.

You ever notice how when you actually have available money, you never seem to "need" stuff, but once you don't really have it at hand... then everything starts to pile up? I know that's how it is for me. My husband is on call for work 3 weekends out of the month and the ONE weekend he's off is always a week he ISN'T paid, so we never have money to do anything even though he's off work. Ahhh, life is fun isn't it?

Random question... Do you read Joe Mallozzi's blog?
I just read the funniest question about Joe Flanigan.

No, I don't read his blog --- I like to look at the pictures he posts, but I've never really sat down and read it properly.

What was the question?

I actually mostly enjoy the "mailbag" part when he answers questions and the pics of course.
ANYWAY, today someone asked:

Emily writes: “Will the fact that Sheppard obviously has an Elf gene ever come in to play this season?”

Answer: We’re saving this revelation for the big stick-fighting three-parter.

Obviously Mallozzi was being a smart ass, lol, but it was her question had me laughing my ass off because I have ALWAYS though his ears looked elvish, lol. I'd never heard anyone else refer to him as being elf-like before. *L*

Zomg that's so funny!!!

I snagged an icon ages ago that has an arrow pointing at his elf-ears... and downloaded a Q&A video snippet of someone commenting on his elf-ears... I definitely think he's elf! ;P Genetically advanced elf or something. *lol*

Ahahahaha! I never knew there were other's out there that thought that! LMAO! Ahhh, but it makes him all the cuter, yes? Maybe that's why his hair is always so awesome, it must be his elvish magical powers!

Love your icon by the way. ;)

Oh hell yeah! XD

*rofl* I think you may be onto something! Ooh, I wonder what other elvish powers he might have... aside the seductive powers... and the tendency to make fangirls drool... and the power to make golf sexy... *grins*

Love your icon by the way. ;)

Hehe! Aw, thank you! :D

Well he's defiantly elvish. Besides the ears, the charm and the hair, his ability to not look his age is proof enough. He's probably like 313 years old or something. *L*

Yes, he does make golf sexy... I think it's the way his shirt pops up just a little bit and it peek-a-boo's his stomach that makes it sexy. *nods* *drools*

Murphy's Law. The first PC I ever bought on my own died the day after I was out of warranty. Never fails. No big emergencies around until I went a little Ebay happy then all of a sudden crap broke down left and right.

I want to see all your LJ entries, babe. I love the rants too.

Man, that sucks. My harddrive was a month out of warranty when it died. Nothing to be done. Still, I felt a little better when I went out and replaced it with a better one, but I'd still have preferred to spend money on something else.

As for retail therapy, I agree with the poster who said not to have any regrets. I deem all my purchases 'necessary' and shrug while figuring that some months are just more expensive than others.

that sucks big time about your battery. It would figure it'd die AFTER the warranty expires. It's not a DELL is it? =P

ya know, sometimes its just good to spend a little extra money on yourself and others =) bills are such a pain AND cars. I just had to replace my tires last week, cost me $300 =S

Excuse me? Unnecessary stuff? Fragance and clothes? Dvds and parent's dinner? Say who?
These is the really, really essential stuff.
