Yes- while I can see McKay as Darcy, I'm not sure John has a Lizzie in him. (He'd make a wonderful Wickham, though.)

It'd be tricky, but if done correctly, it could be awesome. Just think about the proposal: McKay trying to communicate his feelings but only succeeding to insult John in any way possible? Sounds about in character ;).
