Last Night

I watched Last Night last night, and I really enjoyed it. When you're obsessed enough to watch everything that your favourite actors have been in, you regularly come across some great movies. For example, if not for my "thing" for CKR, I'd never have experienced Wilby Wonderful, Hard Core Logo or Last Night. Does anyone recommend any other Callum movies?

Last Night is a movie about what a bunch of people do on their last night on Earth, when they've known for months that the world is going to end.

It reminded me a little of 200 Cigarettes, which is about what a bunch of people do on a New Years Eve. In the same way as Last Night, there are multiple story lines that connect in various ways throughout the movie. I usually really like movies and TV shows that do that.

So anyway, it was a very good movie. Sandra Oh was brilliant, Don McKeller did a great job, and Callum Keith Rennie got nekkid!

Callum's character was pretty hilarious; he spent his last couple of months compiling a comprehensive list of all of his sexual fantasies, and he spent his last months on Earth attempting to make his way through the list!

In other news, I've hurt my foot, and I'm currently limping everywhere. And I have to go back to work tomorrow. :( These holidays have gone far far too quickly. On the plus side, I only have 15 work days till I have another week off!

Purple Toast and Frank's Cock are great underground short films (anyone in the DS comms should be able to hook you up)

I thought Masterminds was a fun, fun movie...it's typical light fare (plus, Ollie is HOT)

Men with Guns is, um, hard to watch, but his character's aptly psychotic.

Suspicious River is VERY hard to watch, but it's brilliant...plus, Don S. Davis and Michael Shanks are in it :)

David Hewlett's movie The Life Before This has both CKR and Mrs. Paul Gross :P

Flower & Garnet and Falling Angels tend to blend together for me because they have the same feel, but both are fantastic.

And speaking of Callum, you should watch his season of Californication (this season).

Thanks for the suggestions! I'll be sure to add them to my list! Callum does play the psychotics well, doesn't he!? :)

Huh! I didn't realise that CKR was in The Life Before This. I have that movie, but I'll have to watch it again!

I did see him in one episode of Californication. He's still hot!
