Flashpoint love?

I've just started watching Flashpoint. How have I never noticed how blue Hugh Dillon's eyes are? They're very, very pretty. And he's looking good! I'm only about 10 minutes into the first episode so far, but I think I could like this show! Does anyone else watch it?

Love it. Loveitloveitloveit.

New episodes soon!

I watch it for Hugh. I still think there's something missing from the show, but hopefully it will expand into the more personal relationships as it goes on (remember, I'm coming from watching Hugh on Durham County, so it's high standards I've got here:)

Oh yeah, watched since day one. :) In the US, you can find all the episodes on cbs.com. Think CTV has 'em all too. Not sure about elsewhere.

\o/ YAY FOR FLASHPOINT LOVE!! I adored this show from the first and had been periodically poking my flist to watch it cuz I wanna squee about it with people who don't scare me LOL.

I'm probably the only person who started watching it because of Enrico. I had no idea who Hugh Dillon was. *is shamed*

I was absolutely thrilled when it was renewed for a full second season. It's a terrific show with the potential to get even better. My only wish is that it would spend a little more time on the team relationships outside of the actual incidents because they have such great chemistry.

[identity profile] shironezumi.livejournal.com 2009-01-16 01:32 pm (UTC)(link)
It's on my to-watch-list. ^_^

[identity profile] morebliss.livejournal.com 2009-01-16 01:42 pm (UTC)(link)
I've seen all of the first season. Hugh rocks in it, and it's a really good show. Enjoy!

His eyes are really, really blue!

Yeah, I decided that I needed to catch up before the new eps start. I just watched the first ep, and I think I'm pretty much hooked already! :)

From what I've watched so far, Hugh is great in it. Durham County is on my list of things to watch too. *so many shows, so little time* :)

Yay! Glad to hear you're enjoying it too. As far as I know, they haven't shown it here in Australia yet, but luckily there are ... *cough* other sources!

Oh, awesome! That's great that you're a fan. I just finished the first episode, and loved it! It's getting late, and I should get some sleep, but I think I'll watch at least one more ep!

It's definitely worth watching. I'm pretty hooked after only one episode, which is quite rare for me. I hope the other episodes are as enjoyable.

Yeah, Hugh was awesome in the first episode. I'm really enjoying it so far.

He's gorgeous! :)

Btw: love the icon. *_*

I'm not sure if I've 'pimped' Hugh Dillon properly. Have you got some 'Headstones' music?

Yep! Someone else on my friendslist was lovely enough to share his stuff. And I have The Hugh Dillon Redemption Choir too.

I must admit that I hadn't even heard of Hugh before Hard Core Logo, but now I'm hooked!

I feel like a new convert as well (but it's been about a year or so!). He's the jam. I am really crossing fingers for HCL2!

Goddess Yes! His eyes are so amazing.

[identity profile] casett.livejournal.com 2009-01-16 06:18 pm (UTC)(link)
I started watching it for Enrico too (from two of my fav shows SG-1 and Veronica Mars) but I love the plots. I hope they don't too much into personal relationships - just enough so that you know if affects what they might do in the field. This is the only cop show that has ever made me cry. Plus - really great (and I mean great actors) guest stars.

[identity profile] equusentric.livejournal.com 2009-01-16 06:30 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm a Just Shoot Me & Galaxy Quest girl, myself. :)

I tend watch shows more for the characters than the plots. Flashpoint has great plots (many more hits than misses compared to other shows I won't name), but since I'm admittedly a sucker for team-family dynamics, my favorite parts of the episodes are the ones where they're just talking/bickering/playing around. I'm not so much for canon romance but die-for-you friendships are like candy to me.

And Spike is so adorable I want to eat him with a spoon.

[identity profile] equusentric.livejournal.com 2009-01-16 07:15 pm (UTC)(link)
I find Hugh more attractive now then he was in his HCL days. His face has more character now, or something. Maybe it's the (lack of) hair. Or hell, maybe it's the gear-n-guns, I never claimed not to be shallow!

Spike is my favorite for eye candy. He's just adorable. ♥

Huuuuugh! Yes. It's so weird coming from a fandom (Canada 6-degrees) where all the media is either old or obscure, and then having Hugh playing on prime time! Btw, there is a Flashpoint comm, if you're interested: [livejournal.com profile] theconstabulary. :-)

Oh the guns-n-gear is definitely a large part of it. He looks great in that uniform!

I should have mentioned that I think Enrico is great too. And his role is Flashpoint is pretty awesome too. *loves her shiny new show*

Oh cool, thanks for the link. I've watched 4 episodes now, and I'm still loving it. It's a great show, and Hugh is very good in it. :)

I watch Flashpoint! I didn't expect to be terribly impressed by the show, but it's been consistently good.

Isn't he? I don't know if you've watched much of his other work post-HCL, but he spent years while he was in the Headstones and, later, HDRC, doing small parts -- thugs and bad guys -- and there was always this element of Hughishness about his roles. But when he plays Ed, I just see Ed. It's like he's really got it. So it's been really exciting seeing him grow as an actor.

I haven't seen Durham County -- I fear it -- but I expect that's the same.

(Um, I don't mean this to sound patronising about him. You know how it is -- you get all invested in your BSOs. It's exciting when they do well! *g*)

The more I see of Hugh, the more I like him!

And yep, I can't wait to hear more about HCL2. I'm so excited that it's a possibility. :)

I have to admit that before seeing Hard Core Logo (which I only saw for the first time about a month ago), I hadn't heard of Hugh. But after HCL, I had to track down more of his stuff, and the more I see of him, the more I like him. I completely agree that in Flashpoint, he's really 'got' the role - he's completely Ed, and I love the way that he plays him.

That's very cool that you've watched Hugh grow as an actor. *grins*

This is the only cop show that has ever made me cry

I've now seen 6 episodes, and it's already made me cry a couple of times. It's really good television.
