I've just started watching Flashpoint. How have I never noticed how blue Hugh Dillon's eyes are? They're very, very pretty. And he's looking good! I'm only about 10 minutes into the first episode so far, but I think I could like this show! Does anyone else watch it?

Huuuuugh! Yes. It's so weird coming from a fandom (Canada 6-degrees) where all the media is either old or obscure, and then having Hugh playing on prime time! Btw, there is a Flashpoint comm, if you're interested: [livejournal.com profile] theconstabulary. :-)

Oh cool, thanks for the link. I've watched 4 episodes now, and I'm still loving it. It's a great show, and Hugh is very good in it. :)

Isn't he? I don't know if you've watched much of his other work post-HCL, but he spent years while he was in the Headstones and, later, HDRC, doing small parts -- thugs and bad guys -- and there was always this element of Hughishness about his roles. But when he plays Ed, I just see Ed. It's like he's really got it. So it's been really exciting seeing him grow as an actor.

I haven't seen Durham County -- I fear it -- but I expect that's the same.

(Um, I don't mean this to sound patronising about him. You know how it is -- you get all invested in your BSOs. It's exciting when they do well! *g*)

I have to admit that before seeing Hard Core Logo (which I only saw for the first time about a month ago), I hadn't heard of Hugh. But after HCL, I had to track down more of his stuff, and the more I see of him, the more I like him. I completely agree that in Flashpoint, he's really 'got' the role - he's completely Ed, and I love the way that he plays him.

That's very cool that you've watched Hugh grow as an actor. *grins*
