All I want for Christmas is....

Step One
- Make a post (public, friendslocked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fun ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
- If you wish for real possible things, make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.
- Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ, or link to this post (it'll be public) so that the holiday joy will spread.

Step Two
- Surf around your friendslist (or friendsfriends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:
- If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.
You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.
There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

My Christmas Wishlist

1) Photos of your city/town with tic tacs discretely placed in the scene (an example here).

2) Music! I just love hearing new music!

3) The Military/Intelligence zine. (Thanks so so so much Susan!)

4) Lots of great Atlantis AUs.

5) For this spam post to reach 1000 comments. It's currently at 424. I'm at 517 now! More than half way there!

6) A t-shirt that says "I'm with genius" like the one that McKay wore in "Home".

7) A signed photo of David Hewlett.

8) To be able to attend a screening of A Dog's Breakfast.

9) I'd love to be linked to (or emailed) a picture of something that makes you happy and tell me what it means to you, or a picture that you think will make me happy. (Real life stuff preferably, though obviously not anything that would cause privacy concerns. eg. Pets in cute poses, sunrises, butterflies, kids, cars, your newly decorated twinkly Christmas tree...) (I stole this one from starrylizard because I think it sounds really nice!).

10) A Stargate Atlantis fanvid to a cheesy Christmas song!

*laughs* The tic tacs thing started about 5 years ago with some friends. We were at a 21st birthday party, and there was an empty packet of tic tacs on the table, which we took some photos of.

We then spend a few months taking photos of various things with a packet of tic tacs in the photo. My favourite was the picture of a friend lying out on the pavement, looking like he'd overdosed, with tic tacs in his hand and scattered on the pavement around him!!

Prehaps you just had to be there, but it was funny at the time, and I thought it'd be amusing to see photos of various places in the world, with tic tacs!! :D
