Atlantis??

To people who have seen the latest episode of Atlantis --- what was it like?? I haven't seen it yet, and I won't get a chance to see it until tonight if I'm lucky, or maybe tomorrow night. I don't want to look at any posts about it, because I'll end up reading a detailed review, and then it won't be as exciting when I finally watch it... but I need something to get me through till then! So, could you sum it up for me in one word. One word only! Thanks! :D

PS I saw Casino Royale again last night. Daniel Craig is just... yum! Have you seen his butt?? I'm sorry Hewlett, but I think Daniel's is better! Seriously, it's just perfect. And they put him in these pants that show it off so well. (I still love Hewlett's butt too though!).

EDIT: I've seen the episode now, so there are spoilers in the comments

Cliffhangers kill me every time!

You should have seen me after I watched the season 4 finale of Smallville.

To Be Continued is an evil evil phrase.

Although OMG is technically 3 words, is 100% accurate! I just watched the ep, and ... wow! OH MY GOD!!

I don't want to wait over 6 months to find out what happens!

How about 'a total rush'? (*ignores the fact that that's three words*).

Yep - it was a total rush! I just finished watching it. I think it was a great conclusion to a great season! I wish we didn't have to wait so long to find out what happens though. I swear, these "to be continued" endings take years off my life!

Ok, not just one word total, but one word sequences...

The beginning:

WTF?!?!
(you'll see - Elizabeth's happy attitude at the beginning)

Then:

wow

Then:

holy cow! (two words, I know, but they'll never get out of this one!)

Then:

OMG!

Then:

No WAY! in both a squee and this sucks sort of way (seriously, they manage both sorta)

Then:

dun, Dun, DUN!!! cliffy - of course.

Overall? Very squeeworthy - the escape... Holeee crap that was freakin' awesome!

I hope this was vague and unspoilery enough.

*laughs* That basically sums up exactly my reaction!

One of my favourite parts: I LOVE that Chuck's name is Chuck!!

I also love that Rodney was injured at the end, but he was still working. He's so brave and manly! :D

I agree that it was very squeeworth, and freakin' awesome! Can't wait to see the conclusion!

Ok there's spoilers now so

OMFG!! Can you believe they flew the freakin' city?!?!?!?!?! I was screaming so loud when they did that!! Aside from the crappy Carson/Elizabeth business, that was a way better episode than I thought after hearing that Joe Flanigan said that the season ender was going to be a kind of "soft reset"

I didn't want to hate not!Carson new doc... but man, what a sucky intro that was...

Radek was, as usual a highlight *swoons* and Rodney is getting less shy about hiding his heroic side - which is *fabulous*

I know! Flying the city was very awesome! I didn't see that coming at all. They are so screwed now though!

I think that the new Doctor seems sweet so far. If she continues like that, it could get annoying, but I loved her character on Firefly, so I'm ready to keep an open mind about her.

And yep, Radek was awesome. I'm so glad that he's in lots of episodes next season! :)

I just finished the ep now, and ... wow! I'm still recovering. I think wow is basically my reaction. It really was full of action. I just hate having to wait so long for more 'Lantis!

Yep - it was great! I LOVED John's comment to Zelenka and McKay! SO funny!

I hate the "to be continued" of doom though. And we'll have to wait so long before we get new episodes. :(

I think I'll have to re-watch all of season 3 again! Or maybe all of all of the seasons again! :)

And at least we'll have lots of post-episode fic, probably being written as we speak! :)

I haven't seen the ep yet, so I can't sum it up. But yes, I did notice Daniel Craig's delicious toosh. And the fit of his pants were quite perfect. (though whenever I think of Casino Royale, i think of the most horrific torture known to man, and I wince)

I've watched the episode now, so if you come back to this post, there are spoilers in the comments.

I actually liked Casino Royale. Sure, there were some parts that were pretty awful ... the story didn't have much going for it, and some of the lines were painfully bad, but it was entertaining. And Daniel Craig has such a great body and toosh that I think he could make any movie bareable! :)

Out of curiosity, what made you suspicious?

Lizzie's injury. I adore a biy of whumping, and, yes, I did really enjoy the ep...but I'm also a nurse so my mind jumps to medical issues. And I'm like "omg, if they use this injury to give her a long, painful recovery and thus introduce the recurring status" ... there are ways she could be used better, ya knows? The "pupils sluggish" got me going "wtf are they gonna do to her?" Of course, she'll probably be just fine later, which if token reference is made to her recovery, is quite all right with me :) The suspicious is less-injury based and more "so, um, how is this recurring thing gonna work?" Cause, yeah, some head injuries do take years to recover from, but some do amazingly well, and this is Atlantis. ;) But then there's the whole "I'm tired of the military just taking the hell over" angle, which I hope they play more for her lessened time. Must. Know. What. Happens!

But, yes, did enjoy the episode quite a lot. OMG, "just make out already"....it was perfect.

I loved it! OMG is so right!

I thought that the character interaction was really great, and I loved that the characters were all in peril together at the end. In our other season finales, we've had the team separated in the end, and it's so much nicer to have them all together!

I also loved that Rodney was injured at the end, but he was still being brave and manly and trying to do everything that he could to save the city.

I loved that Chuck was named!!

And I loved John's conversation with Ronon and Teyla about the Fantastic Four! He's so adorable when he tries to explain Earth things to them! And Ronon's expression was just priceless!

I loved Rodney telling the arrogant Apollo man "Yeah, I don't think that's your call".

Basically, I have much love for my 'Lantis, and I really can't wait for more episodes! :)

You know the best thing about the Fantastic Four conversation?

The whole time John's like if Rodney were here, then he'd get it! :P

And OMG there were some great one liners in there too!

stop dialling, it's not working!

I loved Rodney facing down Apollo!captain. The whole episode is like... I don't think there are words. It's the best sort of finale and Rodney! Working whilst injured my pefect little woobie! omgomG!

THis whole season has been just outstanding!

Yeah, exactly! John was really wishing that Rodney was there! And then he went and found him! :D

I hope that Apollo!captain guy becomes less annoying. We've already had the annoying/arrogant captain with SkinnerCaldwell! That's my only complaint though.

Other than that, I think that it was an awesome episode, and a completely awesome season. I'm going to have to watch them all again, because I'm sure that there are so many things that I've forgotten!

Thanks for friending me back, and yep, First Strike had many great fanon moments! I just love my shiny show!

I must also add that your icon is great! I adore the scenes when John tries to explain "Earth things" to Ronon and Teyla! :)
