I just LOVE both Rodney and Pride and Prejudice! I think Rodney makes the perfect Darcy... Never crossed my mind before, but now that it has, I wonder how I never saw that before especially as I just watched the miniseries 2 days ago! I have to agree with the poster a few above me (forgot to look at the name before I posted) and say that it has to be Carson in the Lizzie role! I wish I was a better writer... that would be awesome to write, but I don't think I could do it justice. Until my writing improves, I will just look at your manip and dream! Thank you.

I completely agree - I have always loved Pride and Prejudice, and I've always loved Rodney, but it just never occurred to me just how similar they are... now, the more I think about it, the more I realise that McKay basically is Darcy!

I'm not certain about the other roles yet... I keep changing my mind about who I'd most like to see in Lizzy's role... I personality like to 'ship' McKay with basically anyone, so I'm flexible about that! At the moment, I think that Samantha Carter would make a good Lizzy! If you think about it, there are a lot of similarities in the Sam/Rodney relationship and the Darcy/Lizzy relationship.

Anyway, hopefully someone will take this idea and write something! I'd be happy to read a story with anyone else in the other roles, as long as Rodney is Darcy! :)

just one thing i'll pick on - have you played around with feathering? it basically creates a softer edge to make one pic blend in better with another. you can use it around the hairline.

When I see it again this morning I can see a few flaws - you're right that I should have done more feathering or bluring around the edges... I basically just quickly put it together for a joke, but it would look better if I spent a little while longer just fixing it up... I still think it looks alright for a bit of fun though! :D

oh yes it does look great! i didn't really notice it until i saw the big pic under the cut, and also because i've done lots of photoshop work for uni and work over the years.

Yep! I reckon the expression is pretty similar too. I saw that picture of David Hewlett, and I thought that it looked pretty "Darcy-esque"!! :)

You do know you're insane in a form that is absolutely lovable? I *love* Mr. Darcy *wears badge that says, 'Where is my Mr. Darcy?'* and just to imagine David saying *those* words *melts into puddle of goo* although... the hair... *GIGGLESNORT* I'll say no more, but it's still cute!
