Oh god, I'm casting it both slash and het in my mind! I need to read this fic. There needs to be a classic lit Au comm or challenge on something so I can devour the fic. People need to get cracking ;)

Yeah, I can just see so many possible options! I really think that people need to start writing this stuff! There is the community harlequin_sga for "romance" sort of stories - maybe someone should make a pride and prejudice AU challenge there! :D
